On the way out, I did notice many people getting into cars parked along Clancy Ave. Just about all the parking spaces were used, so I guess I was lucky to get one. But it was okay, since we decided not to attend for the whole day, just went there to see the closing act. Once you're in, you're in for the duration. Turns out my plan of going back and forth out to the car wouldn't have worked, since general admission tickets did not allow for re-entry. But.Im sure everything will work out just fine.eventually Alot of the city is having a bit of parking issues anywhere close to downtown. The park stop is at Plainfield and Leonard. Park as far south as you can then just walk across the traffic light to the bus stop. But, if you did, fare would be $1.75 each way per person and you could park at Four Mile and Plainfield shopping center on the SE corner. Plus no late hours past like 9:30pm or something. Sad because this route is only hourly on Saturdays. I did not check concert times but sadly the only route that gets you within two blocks of the park is route 11 More so along Seaward ave between Pearl and Bridge. Otherwise maybe park in the Dash lots (primarely west of 131 downtown) and Uber from there. Maybe they got something worked out im not reading.Īnyhow, there is a Meijer at EBL and Knapp. Leonard cant handle traffic half the day now on weekdays. Ironically, the 29th, the new and improved free Dash would take you up there running every ten minutes, but noooo, it dont run Saturdays yet. Between my brain going funny or they done changed something around. So, i went back to the web site and said 'k, wheres that bus part that showed it being worked on'? Not there. Is there any large public parking area (like a Meijer store) in the area where I could park my car all day and then take an Uber or Lyft in from there? Might have to spring for an upgrade, if that's possible, but that's expensive. Looks like the parking they're talking about is for VIP ticket holders. Not sure how the concert-goers and drivers are going to find each other in the mass of cars pulling up at the end of the day. Uber and Lyft are going to be quite busy I guess. Vehicles will not be permitted to stop or stand on Division St./Plainfield Ave." Breakaway has a designated rideshare pickup and dropoff location on Coldbrook St. You are highly encouraged to get dropped off/picked up at Belknap Park, whether via a friend or a ride share app, as there is very limited parking in the surrounding neighborhoods as well. I looked at the website and under "Guide", they had this to say about parking: "Belknap Park offers very limited amount of on-premise parking, which is only available for purchase on-line. Been around a month since i walked through there. I do hope they atleast spruce the park up first. I dont ever recall any 'real' events at that park ever. It did not appear they are providing any seating so come prepared. Event vending is the only true option there without walking several blocks. The good news is the hill will provide good views. The park itself needs some major upgrading thus quite a surprise to me. And no real parking in the Creston or North Monroe district (another area that is very tight for parking with all the new construction). Truely I have no idea where they may be planning the main parking.īelknap neighborhood is going through huge changes so street parking is a real issue as it is. (event busing) Being they have yet to post it you will have to continue to check their site until they do. It appears they have yet (cutting it a bit close) to set up busing for this event but that will be your way in. One upper but this will very likely be closed off as it appears that area will also be a stage. One lower but this will only be for VIP and it is not all that big anyways.
